Percale Explained

The percale weave is sought after by the hospitality industry and is superior to the standard muslin weave which is 'rougher' by industry standards.  Percale is a tighter 'over-under' basket weave with a smoother, cooler and crisper finish. This weave is more expensive to produce than standard bed linen textiles and is therefore regarded as a high-end choice. It also features a high quality matt (not glossy) finish, is lightweight and breathable.

Due to the nature of the long fibres and the tight knit, percale sheets wash very well, are pill resistant and very durable. They are renown for their longevity, making them a wise investment.

Yarns of traditional business shirts are woven with a percale weave. Imagine a thicker version made especially for hotel bedding, but now available for your dreamy comfort!
